Nine men under arrest in police raids a week ago have been emotional with scheme to cause explosions in Britain and with plotting terrorism offences, police said on Monday.The nine were amid 12 men under arrest on December 20 in what police said at the time were counter-terrorism raids essential to defend the public from the danger of attack.
Three of the 12 under arrest were released without charge, a declaration issued by West Midlands Police said. The residue will come into view at the City of Westminster Magistrates Court later on Monday, the declaration said.
"I have nowadays counseled the police that nine men should be charged with plot to cause explosions and with striking in conduct in training for acts of terrorism with the meaning of either committing acts of terrorism, or additional another to entrust such acts," Sue Hemming, head of the Crown Prosecution Service Counter Terrorism Division, said in the declaration.
