President Barack Obama appealed to Republican congressional leaders on Tuesday to put politics sideways and work to renew the U.S. financial system. Speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One on his way back to Washington from a vacation in Hawaii, Obama said "we've ongoing to make good development" on the economy, adding: "I wait for to build on that development when I get back."
Republicans made burly gains in November's U.S. congressional elections. They are set to take manager of the House of legislative body from Obama's Democrats and supplement their information in the Senate, with the 2012 U.S. presidential election on the possibility.
An elder Republican aide said on Monday the House designed to vote on January 12 on Republican legislation to rescind the president's healthcare law acknowledged last year, and predict it would pass in the House.
